Softball Recap: Simsboro Comes Up Short

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Saturday. Simsboro came up short against LaSalle, falling 16-1. That's two games in a row now that Simsboro has lost by exactly 15 runs.

Simsboro saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacoya Lewis, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

This is the second loss in a row for Simsboro and nudges their season record down to 13-8. As for LaSalle, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season.

Simsboro has already played their next match, a 19-0 defeat against D'Arbonne Woods on the 29th. As for LaSalle, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 13-2 victory against Monterey on the 29th.
