Basketball Recap: Peyton Brady's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Louisa County over J.R. Tucker

It was a proper cat-fight when Louisa County duked it out withJ.R. Tucker on Wednesday. The Louisa County Lions took a 48-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the J.R. Tucker Tigers. While the Lions didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Tigers 17-9 in the first quarter.

Louisa County's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Peyton Brady, who posted 11 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Brady is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Taylor Yeatts, who had seven points and three steals.

Louisa County has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season. As for J.R. Tucker, their win bumped their record up to an identical 9-7.
