Basketball Game Preview: Mountain Pointe Pride vs. Desert Mountain Wolves

The Mountain Pointe Pride will venture away from home to challenge the Desert Mountain Wolves at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Mountain Pointe has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Mountain Pointe is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They enjoyed a cozy 57-41 victory over Maricopa on Wednesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Pride as it put an end to their eight-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, in Wednesday's Canine Competition, Desert Mountain came out on top. They took their matchup on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 52-24 victory over Centennial. The Wolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 24 points or more this season.

Desert Mountain's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 6-9. As for Mountain Pointe, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-12.
