With a playoff win on the line, Angleton rose to the challenge on Friday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Angleton who was credited with the win. Angleton got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Sterling Rangers's three. Angleton's winning goal came courtesy of Cesar Baeza.

Angleton is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those six matchups. Sterling's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5-7.

Coming up, Angleton will challenge Pasadena on Monday. Sterling does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
