Volleyball Recap: Little Elm Lobos vs. Coppell Cowboys

Little Elm was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Coppell Cowboys. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cowboys this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-19, 25-9.

Little Elm's offense was headlined by Serena Parker and Larisa Inocan, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Berkley Russell and her 18 assists.

Emma Pehl was nothing short of spectacular for Coppell: she had five digs, two aces, and one block. Pehl is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 18 or more in each of the last 14 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Molly Williams, who had 12 digs and one assist.

Little Elm's loss dropped their record down to 12-21. As for Coppell, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Little Elm will take on rival Hebron at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Coppell is set to challenge their familiar foe Lewisville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
