Basketball Recap: Woodruff Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Woodruff can now relate to. They fell 61-50 to the Powdersville Patriots on Thursday. The Wolverines have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Powdersville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Von Burton out in front who posted 12 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Quan Burton was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Woodruff's defeat dropped their record down to 18-9. As for Powdersville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 19-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Woodruff nor Powdersville have any future games scheduled.
