Football Recap: Patrick County Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 14-14 at halftime, Patrick County was not quite Floyd County's equal in the second half on Friday. They took a 21-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Buffaloes. The Cougars lost against the Buffaloes in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 36-0 score last time.

This is the second loss in a row for Patrick County and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for Floyd County, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Patrick County will square off against rival Radford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Floyd County is set to challenge their familiar foe Martinsville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
