Basketball Recap: Thomas Sumter Academy Generals vs. Holly Hill Academy Raiders
Thomas Sumter Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 50-37 to the Holly Hill Academy Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Generals of the 51-41 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2020.
Jody Gillam was nothing short of spectacular for Holly Hill Academy: he scored 27 points plus seven steals and five assists. Mason Connor was another key player, earning nine points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals.
