Soccer Game Preview: Ridgway vs. Salida

The Ridgway Demons will head out on the road to face off against the Salida Spartans at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Ridgway knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Salida likes a good challenge.

If Ridgway beats Salida with four goals on Saturday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Demons came out on top against Telluride by a score of 4-2 on Thursday. Ridgway haven't had any issues with Telluride recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Salida hasn't lost a match since March 26th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Thursday. They blew past Banning Lewis Academy 3-0. Salida might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by three goals or more this season.

Ridgway's win bumped their record up to 7-3-2. As for Salida, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2-4 record this season.
