Hempfield Area strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past the Canon-McMillan Big Macs 10-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 back in March.

Riley Miller was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lauren Howard, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, three stolen bases, and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Claire Mitchell was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Hempfield Area hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in six consecutive games.

Hempfield Area's victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-0. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Canon-McMillan, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.
