Basketball Recap: Utica Comes Up Short

Utica suffered their closest loss since December 3, 2024 on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Mt. Vernon Yellowjackets by a score of 42-39. The Redskins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Utica's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Mt. Vernon, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Utica will head out to square off against Licking Valley at 7:00 p.m. on February 5th. As for Mt. Vernon, they are taking a road trip to take on Watkins Memorial at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday.
