It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hawkins can now relate to. They took a 61-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Marlin Bulldogs on Tuesday. The Hawks' defeat signaled the end of their 19-game winning streak.

Jaidan Womack was his usual excellent self, going 11-for-23 en route to 30 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals for Marlin. What's more, Womack also posted an 80% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in January of 2024. Jordan Womack was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 11 points and nine boards.

Hawkins' loss dropped their record down to 31-3. As for Marlin, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 19 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-4 record this season.

Hawkins does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Marlin, they will take on Shelbyville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Shelbyville sitting on 19 straight wins and Marlin on 16.
