Basketball Recap: Morgan's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Morgan won the last time they faced American Heritage and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Morgan Trojans came out on top against the American Heritage Patriots by a score of 69-56. The win was nothing new for the Trojans as they're now sitting on four straight.

Morgan's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kolton Asay, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 boards. Another player making a difference was Bracken Saunders, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 boards.

Morgan's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for American Heritage, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Morgan will venture away from home to take on Mountain Crest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Morgan knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Mountain Crest likes a good challenge. As for American Heritage, they will head out to challenge Lone Peak at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Lone Peak's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
