Volleyball Game Preview: Eastern Musketeers vs. Jennings County Panthers

The Eastern Musketeers will take on the Jennings County Panthers in a tournament on Saturday. Eastern will be strutting in after a win while Jennings County will be coming in after a loss.

On Thursday, Eastern got the win against Borden by a conclusive 3-0. The victory continues a trend for the Musketeers in their matchups with the Braves: they've now won four in a row.

Eastern never let Borden on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-11, 25-23.

Among those leading the charge was Eliza Starrett, who had 14 digs and one assist.

Meanwhile, Jennings County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to Brownstown Central.

Jennings County took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-14, 25-15.

Jennings County's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Eastern, their win bumped their record up to 18-5.
