Karns City is a perfect 6-0 against North Clarion since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Gremlins will square off against the Wolves at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Karns City has three straight wins, North Clarion has ten straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
North Clarion's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Tuesday: Karns City hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Gremlins blew past Keystone 10-0 on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Gremlins, who have now won six contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Tyler Kelly was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Koen Williams was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Karns City always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, in Monday's Canine Competition, North Clarion didn't have enough. They came up short against Redbank Valley on Monday, falling 21-1. That's two games in a row now that the Wolves have lost by exactly 20 runs.
Ryan Pappas made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one run. Gavin Hannold also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Karns City's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for North Clarion, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Karns City has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like North Clarion struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Karns City took their win against North Clarion in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Gremlins since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
