Softball Recap: New Braunfels Takes a Loss

New Braunfels fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Alamo Heights on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Alamo Heights Mules by a score of 4-3. The Unicorns were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mules apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Isabel Cruz made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3.

New Braunfels' loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Alamo Heights, their record now sits at 3-10.

New Braunfels didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-4 victory against Boerne on the 18th. As for Alamo Heights, they have also already played their next match, an 18-1 win against Wagner on the 18th.
