After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Apple Valley, Granite Hills was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with an 8-5 win over the Barstow Aztecs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-2 back in April.
Kathryn (Kat) McCartney made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up five earned runs off ten hits. McCartney was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one home run and four RBI.
