Softball Recap: Philadelphia Academy Charter Continues Home Dominance on Wednesday

It's playoff time, and Philadelphia Academy Charter had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on the Prep Charter Huskies with a sharp 16-1 win on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Chargers, who have now won six matches by 11 runs or more so far this season.

Ava Gerace spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on zero hits and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Casey Pasco, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, seven RBI, and two runs. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jayonni Farabelli, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple.

Philadelphia Academy Charter always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .742. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
