Basketball Recap: Newbury Park Comes Up Short

Newbury Park played a tough matchup on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 72-33 loss at the hands of the Westlake Warriors. The game marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Newbury Park and nudges their season record down to 10-10. As for Westlake, they pushed their record up to 13-7 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Newbury Park will challenge Thousand Oaks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Westlake, they are taking a road trip to take on Oaks Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
