It may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Williamsville East ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over the Williamsville South Billies. The Flames haven't had any issues with the Billies recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Libby Kosmowski spent all ten innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Elise Prelewicz, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Talia Yonaty also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Williamsville East kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Williamsville South only managed five hits.

Williamsville East's record now sits at 9-6. As for Williamsville South, they moved to 13-5 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Williamsville East does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Williamsville South, they will be playing at home against Frontier at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Falcons' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Billies' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
