Soccer Recap: Oviedo Find Success

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Oviedo had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Oviedo Lions who were credited with the win. The Oviedo Lions got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Winter Springs Bears's three. The Lions' winning goal came courtesy of Alexzander Pavlovic.

Oviedo is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 36 goals over those 12 matchups. As for Winter Springs, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-4-1.

As of now, neither Oviedo nor Winter Springs have any future games scheduled.
