Basketball Recap: Parker Andrus' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mountain Crest over Twin Falls

Mountain Crest was the 54-42 winner over Twin Falls when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Mountain Crest Mustangs fell to the Twin Falls Bruins 53-47. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 58th in Utah, while the Bruins are ranked second in Idaho).

Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Parker Andrus, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. That's the most points Andrus has posted since back in November of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Cooper, who posted ten points.

Mountain Crest now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Twin Falls, they moved to 1-4 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Mountain Crest is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Hunter at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mountain Crest is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.2 points per game this season. As for Twin Falls, they will host Canyon Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
