Recap: Ninety Six Wildcats vs. Ware Shoals Hornets
The Ninety Six Wildcats were the 68-39 winner over the Ware Shoals Hornets when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Ninety Six fell 65-56 to Ware Shoals on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Ware Shoals' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jace Stewart led the charge by scoring 17 points. Isiah Wardlaw was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Ninety Six's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Ware Shoals, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.
Ninety Six will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against McCormick at 8:00 p.m. As for Ware Shoals, they will head out on the road to face off against Brashier Middle College Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
