Basketball Recap: Mount Vernon Bulldogs vs. Nooksack Valley Pioneers

Mount Vernon lost against Nooksack Valley back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mount Vernon Bulldogs were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 50-49 to the Nooksack Valley Pioneers.

Mount Vernon's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaida Duodu, who posted 18 points along with five boards and four steals. Duodu is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Anaya Saldivar-Slater, who had six points in addition to six assists and six boards.
