Basketball Recap: Kuna Takes a Loss

Kuna fought the good fight in their overtime game against Centennial on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Centennial Patriots by a score of 70-68. The loss continues a trend for the Kavemen in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now lost seven in a row.

Gabe Eddins continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Centennial, going 11 for 17 on his way to 33 points along with seven boards and three steals. The match was Eddins' third in a row with at least ten points. Henry Johnson was another key player, going 5 of 7 en route to 13 points and four steals.

Kuna's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Centennial, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-7.

Kuna will square off against Eagle at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Kuna is facing Eagle at the right time seeing as Eagle is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Centennial, they will welcome Rocky Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Rocky Mountain's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.
