Softball Recap: Sealy Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Sealy waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Columbia Roughnecks. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 11-9 victory the Roughnecks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2019.

Caylee Syzdek was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. What's more, she posted three hits, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Hannah Diemer was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

Sealy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now hit at least eight hits in three consecutive matches.

Sealy's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Columbia, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.
