Baseball Game Preview: King Vikings vs. Hamden Hall Country Day Hornets

For the second straight game, King will face off against Hamden Hall Country Day. The Vikings will host the Hornets at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for King's offense. They came up short against Hamden Hall Country Day on Tuesday, falling 6-0. The Vikings have struggled against the Hornets recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

For Hamden Hall Country Day's part, Evan Perez looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Amato Civitello was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high.

The win (which was Hamden Hall Country Day's fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for King, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.
