Northwest dropped down to 21-9 on Saturday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the York Dukes by a score of 2-1. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Dukes apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Despite the loss, Northwest still got an impressive performance from Halle Rice, who had 19 digs. Chloe Thielen was another key player, getting ten digs.

As for York, the win got them back to even at 15-15. Winning may never get old, but they sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Leading York to victory were Claire Koch and Kendyl Hirschfeld. Koch had 14 digs, while Hirschfeld had seven digs. Kadence Mcmanigal also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Northwest has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Adams Central on the 18th. As for York, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Lakeview on the 18th.
