Baseball Game Preview: Delphi Community Oracles vs. Kouts Mustangs & Fillies

For the second straight game, Delphi Community will face off against Kouts. The Oracles will square off against the Mustangs & Fillies at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Delphi Community has given up an average of 11.3 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Delphi Community is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 19 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Kouts on Saturday. They came up short against the Mustangs & Fillies, falling 15-1. The match marked the Oracles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

For Kouts' part, Billy Miller made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Miller has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles.

In other batting news, Kouts got a massive performance out of Collin Breitzke, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Jesse Overholt was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Kouts always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Delphi Community only posted an OBP of .316.

Kouts' record is now 6-1. As for Delphi Community, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Saturday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Delphi Community hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .404. However, it's not like Kouts struggles in that department as they've averaged .405. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
