Bacon County had won three straight on the road, but on Friday they bumped up to 4-2 to make it four. They managed a 17-12 victory over the Berrien Rebels. That's more bragging rights for the Raiders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

As for Berrien, they now have a losing record of 2-3. They were red-hot offensively heading into the contest (they scored no less than 31 points in the three games prior), but Bacon County's defense proved too tough.

Although Berrien took the loss, they still got scores from Gene Watson and Cash Perkins.

Coincidentally, Bacon County and Berrien will both be playing Jeff Davis the next time they take the field. The Rebels will head out to face the Yellowjackets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Raiders will host them at 7:30 p.m. on the 10th.
