Softball Game Preview: Carman-Ainsworth Cavaliers vs. Central Wolves

Carman-Ainsworth is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Central a ten-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. The Carman-Ainsworth Cavaliers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Central Wolves at 4:00 p.m. Carman-Ainsworth has given up an average of 16.8 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Carman-Ainsworth lost 15-1 to Bentley on Thursday.

Carman-Ainsworth saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Naomi Price, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. Zamirah Small also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Central). Their pitchers stepped up to hand Flushing a 19-0 shutout on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Carman-Ainsworth's defeat dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Central, their victory bumped their record up to 5-18-1.
