After failing to score in their last game, Cary-Grove made sure to put some goals up on the board against Hampshire on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 6-2 margin over the Whip-Purs. Cary-Grove might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Hampshire from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Malaina Kurth led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Cary-Grove has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-4-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those four games. As for Hampshire, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8-1.

Cary-Grove and Hampshire could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Trojans will face off against Huntley at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (123 vs. 31). Meanwhile, Hampshire (ranked 257th) will meet South Elgin (ranked 76th) at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
