Softball Recap: Morton Comes Up Short

Morton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 13-3 to the Northeast Jones Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-7 on Thursday.

Morton saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isi Castillo, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3. That's the most stolen bases Castillo has posted since back in April of 2024.

Morton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Northeast Jones, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.
