The biggest upset of the week belonged to Rockridge, who took down 159th ranked Macomb, 20-6.
Brody Gronewold of Illini West ran for the longest rushing play in West Central this season against Sherrard last week. Gronewold's team beat the Tigers as he sprinted for 88 yards on the play and finished with 106 in all.
West Hancock co-op [Hamilton/Warsaw]'s dynamic duo of Coy Dorothy and Kolbie Schilson proved tough for Princeton/Ohio to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Dorothy threw for 383 yards and six touchdowns and Schilson had 116 yards receiving. Tyler Dooley helped West Hancock co-op [Hamilton/Warsaw]'s passing attack out by catching three balls for 87 yards.
Ben Gittings was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 148 yards on 11 carries as Illini West topped the Tigers.
West Hancock co-op [Hamilton/Warsaw]'s Dorothy and Austin Hardy have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Dorothy has thrown for 2515 yards this season, while Hardy, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 55 catches for 944 yards. Illini West's Gittings leads the league in rushing yards with 755.
Brian Lewton's team's Hardy is a few successful plays short of surpassing 1,000 yards receiving this season. He needs only 56 receiving yards against the Rockets to hit that benchmark.
A big matchup in West Central this week will be when Illini West takes on Monmouth-Roseville. Illini West is in second place, while the Titans are in fourth place.
Monmouth-Roseville moved up to 197 from 281 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Titans were able to make the jump by topping St. Joseph-Ogden 36-27.
