Softball Recap: Windham Snaps 12-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Windham dropped their record down to 15-3 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Londonderry Lancers. The Jaguars were not able to make up for their defeat to the Lancers from their previous meeting back in June of 2024.

As for Londonderry, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 20-0-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games.

For Londonderry's part, Elizabeth Kearney was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 18 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Kearney has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 16 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Abby Austen was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Shannon Crowley was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Looking ahead, Windham will take on Pinkerton at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Londonderry does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
