Volleyball Recap: Lakeland Triumphs

Lakeland was handed a three-set loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Lake Gibson Braves 3-2. This was payback for the Dreadnaughts, who suffered a 3-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Lakeland wouldn't go down easily and took Lake Gibson into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-9, 22-25, 18-25, 15-9.

Mya Lindsey paced Lakeland's offense, picking up 15 kills. Lindsey got some help from Gracie Daniels and her 24 assists. Remington Brown controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Lakeland's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Lake Gibson, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
