Baseball Recap: Wauseon Comes Up Short

Wauseon managed to slip by Archbold the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Indians came up short against the Blue Streaks on Thursday, falling 14-4.

Jack Altstaetter made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That stolen base was his first of the season.

Wauseon's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Archbold, their win bumped their record up to 10-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Wauseon will head out to challenge Central Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians are facing the Irish at the right time seeing as the Irish are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Archbold, they will head out on the road to square off against Elmwood at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
