Softball Recap: Paxton-Buckley-Loda Has No Trouble Against Iroquois West

Paxton-Buckley-Loda's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They put the hurt on the Iroquois West Raiders with a sharp 14-4 win. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 12-2 victory the Raiders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Aubrey Busboom made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. Busboom was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.

In other batting news, Addison Lavender was incredible, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances. Devani McClatchey was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.

The win got Paxton-Buckley-Loda back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Paxton-Buckley-Loda will head out to face off against Fisher at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Iroquois West, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Clifton Central at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
