Softball Recap: Dover Tigers vs. Boonton Bombers

Dover extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 17 on Thursday, dropping them down to 0-15. They came up short against the Boonton Bombers, falling 18-0. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bombers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

As for Boonton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-16. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Boonton's part, Jacquelynn Kondroski made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Kondroski has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Boonton got a massive performance out of Kaitlynn Kruk, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those two runs gave Kruk a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alexis Visioli, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Coming up, Dover will venture away from home to take on Kittatinny Regional at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Boonton, they will host Morristown-Beard at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
