Football Game Preview: Mifflin County Huskies vs. Waynesboro Indians

The Mifflin County Huskies will head out on the road to challenge the Waynesboro Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mifflin County hasn't scored more than eight points for four games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

While Mifflin County's victory against Palmyra wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Huskies sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 win over the Cougars on Friday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Huskies as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, after only seven points in their last matchup, Waynesboro made sure to put some points up on the board against Northern York on Friday. The Indians breezed past the Polar Bears to the tune of 49-14. The Indians' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

The win got Mifflin County back to even at 3-3. As for Waynesboro, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-4.

Mifflin County didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Waynesboro in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 20-14 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Indians' Nathan Nolan, who rushed for 99 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries.
