Baseball Recap: New Brockton Comes Up Short

New Brockton and Satsuma squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but New Brockton had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Gators by a score of 2-0. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Gamecocks' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

New Brockton's defeat dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Satsuma, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Satsuma beat New Brockton by a score of 7-2 later that day.
