Recap: South Salem Saxons vs. Tigard Tigers
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The South Salem Saxons, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a 17-0 bruising from Tigard on Friday. South Salem's defeat signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.
Athan Palmateer rushed for 82 yards. Jacob Nemecek was his top target, picking up 63 receiving yards.
South Salem's loss dropped their record down to 9-1. As for Tigard, their win bumped their record up to 5-5.
South Salem does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Tigard will head out on the road to face off against Sherwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sherwood has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 343 points over their last seven matchups.
