Soccer Recap: Saydel Comes Up Short

Saydel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Des Moines East Scarlets. That's two games in a row now that Saydel have lost by just one goal.

Saydel's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Des Moines East, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-12 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Saydel will head out to challenge Oskaloosa at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Des Moines East, they will venture away from home to take on Ames at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
