Preview: Winter Warriors vs. Drummond Lumberjacks
Winter is 0-9 against Drummond since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Winter Warriors will head out on the road to challenge the Drummond Lumberjacks at 7:00 p.m. Winter has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,348 points over their last 16 matchups.
Even though Birchwood scored an imposing 87 points on Saturday, Winter still came out on top. Winter took down Birchwood 106-87.
Winter got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Curtis Thompson out in front who scored 29 points along with six assists. Malte Colliander was another key contributor, scoring 25 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Drummond has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 37-36 to South Shore.
Winter is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Drummond, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 15-6.
Winter suffered a grim 58-36 defeat to Drummond in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Winter avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
