Basketball Recap: Johnsburg Now 7-2 over Last Nine Games

Johnsburg won the last time they faced McHenry and things went their way on Saturday too. The Johnsburg Skyhawks walked away with a 41-31 victory over the McHenry Warriors. Given the Skyhawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 241st, while the Warriors are ranked 598th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Johnsburg has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.7 points per game. As for McHenry, they dropped their record down to 2-13 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Johnsburg will take on Rockford Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Rockford Christian will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Johnsburg surely won't give up without a fight. As for McHenry, they will face off against Dundee-Crown at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McHenry is facing Dundee-Crown at the right time seeing as Dundee-Crown is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
