With a playoff win on the line, Johnson rose to the challenge  on Friday. Everything went their way against the Laredo LBJ Wolves as they made off with  a  15-2 victory. The Jaguars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 games by six  runs or more this season.
 Bridgett Alviar looked comfortable as she  pitched three innings while giving up just two earned runs but no hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in five consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Kinlee McGuire was  incredible,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base. Those  three  hits gave  her a new career-high.  Emree Massaad was another key player,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with four  runs and one  stolen base.
The  win (which was Johnson's fifth in a row) raised their record to 23-4-1. Those  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Laredo LBJ, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-13 record  this season.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Johnson beat Laredo LBJ by a score of  9-1 on Saturday.
