Softball Recap: Seckinger Jaguars vs. Pope Greyhounds
With a playoff game on the line, Seckinger rose to the challenge on Friday. They skirted past the Pope Greyhounds 9-7. The win was familiar territory for the Jaguars who have now won three contests in a row.
Megan Whitt was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with a home run, three RBI, and two runs. She is on a roll when it comes to RBI, as she's now brought in three or more in the last three games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kimby Tobar, who went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI.
Seckinger's victory was their 14th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-4. As for Pope, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-10.
