Soccer Game Preview: Twin Falls vs. Mountain Home

The Twin Falls Bruins will head out on the road to challenge the Mountain Home Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Twin Falls' last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Twin Falls will bounce into Wednesday's matchup after beating Wood River, who they had gone 1-7-1 against in their nine prior meetings. The Bruins sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Wolverines on Monday. That's two games straight that Twin Falls have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Mountain Home faced off against Burley on Monday. The Tigers' defense stepped up to hand the Bobcats a 1-0 shutout.

Twin Falls pushed their record up to 7-5-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 25 goals over those five contests. As for Mountain Home, their victory bumped their record up to 3-9.

Everything went Twin Falls' way against Mountain Home in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as Twin Falls made off with a 4-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bruins since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
