Springville dropped their record down to 17-6 on Friday, which also ended the team's nine-game streak of wins. They took  a  14-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Skyridge Falcons. The Red Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in April of 2024.
  Jaz Ciliezar was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 1-for-3 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. She has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  home run the last three times she's  played.  Tyler Haveron was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with three  runs and one  double.
As for Skyridge, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-14 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.0 runs over those games.
 On Skyridge's side,  the team  relied heavily on  Isabella Plewe, who  fired off two  home runs, eight  RBI,  and three  runs while going 3-for-5. Those  eight  RBI gave  Plewe a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kaylie Power, who  went 2-for-5 with one  home run and three  RBI.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Springville will welcome Maple Mountain  at 3:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Red Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Golden Eagles have averaged an impressive 11.2  runs per game this season. As for Skyridge, they will host Lone Peak  at 3:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
