Basketball Recap: Walther Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Walther Christian Academy lost against Rochelle Zell Jewish back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Walther Christian Academy Broncos took a 61-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rochelle Zell Jewish Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Broncos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 265th, while the Tigers are ranked 104th).

Walther Christian Academy now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Rochelle Zell Jewish, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Walther Christian Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Arthur-Okaw Christian at 1:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. As for Rochelle Zell Jewish, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Rochelle Zell Jewish Tigers challenge the Ellison Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Ellison has won four straight at home, while Rochelle Zell Jewish won nine straight on the road dating back to last season), something that'll have to change.
